Vevna Forrow (Jasveen "Jazz" Marie Kaur) is an artist originally from Minnesota. She has a background in corporate information technology support, application troubleshooting and computer diagnostics. Her typewriting desert mind resides on the outskirts of the 10th Kingdom. Jazz graduated with an A.A.S. in Technical Management from DCTC and a Bachelor of Science in Learning Design & Technology from BGSU (Adult Learning Science). She believes in having fun, community, kindness, and open-mindedness can usually be found with a soft-baked chocolate chip cookie, fish tacos, curry chicken, chai chip muffins, and burritos nearby (just kidding). Out of Southern Nevada, she founded Dipity Lit Mag in September 2022 to highlight poets of all ages, underrepresented voices, and those who have faced severe traumatic events or have disabilities. Jazz is formerly a cartoonist @jazzdraws508 + The Tiny Koala Doodle Company and used to host community podcasts from her mobile, such as Hummingbird Blink on Spotify. Her earlier poetry is pretty random, rhymes, and fictional but some of it ties back to actual RBION dark side events and memories she knows few will understand (rare scary things happen and it's important to share when others don't believe you, and more physical damage is often inflicted upon one's body). Her poetry journey began predominantly in 6th grade, and then she took a break in 2014 and returned to it in 2020. Work of hers appears in the Words With Wings (2021) Kevin Watt anthology, Oddball Magazine, Phantom Kangaroo issue no. 29, diaCRITICS - DVAN, The Lothlorien Journal, Boats Against the Current Mag, Little Old Lady Comedy, and she has work forthcoming in Scrawl Place. She has Punjabi (Southeast Asian), African-American, and Native American roots and def loves chihuahuas.
